I have decided to take part as a model in the 2023 Reston Runway to the Cure fashion show fundraiser at the Reston Town Center Pavilion in Reston, VA on October 1st at 1:00 p.m. By participating in this event, I aim to raise crucial funds in the fight against breast cancer. My hope is that you will join me in reaching my fundraising goal for this fashion show and contribute towards my ultimate objective of eradicating breast cancer.

In December 2019, my life took an unexpected turn. Freshly divorced and responsible for my 5-year-old daughter while constantly traveling for work, I received a shocking diagnosis at the age of 38: triple positive metastatic breast cancer. My journey began during the early days of the pandemic, which intensified the challenges due to isolation and fear. I've endured numerous rounds of medications, chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries. Nevertheless, my determination is unwavering, fueled by my love for my daughter, family and friends.

This year, Runway to the Cure will benefit METAvivor (www.metavivor.org) and IIIBs Foundation (www.keepthecandleglowing.org), both of which hold a special place in my heart. IIIBs Foundation provided me with essential items I needed just before my double mastectomy, and METAvivor is an incredible foundation entirely dedicated to research for stage IV, metastatic breast cancer. Your support can genuinely make a difference for my quest for a brighter, cancer-free future while also contributing to these meaningful organizations.
